Dunno if this MSI installer is "corrupted" or what? Other deployment tools are available too. GPO is about the worst. No logs in eventlog unforuntatelly We have WSUS, but never used the package publisher - this is not a built-in funcionality? Have deployed via Machine client but it's not perfect when compared to the ease of install for other MSI products - some not installing.
Are these affecting wifi or working-from-home devices? It may be because the network address for the MSI is not available pre-logon. You're looking for errors with a source of MsiInstaller and any other events that get logged at the same time of course. Do you have the MSI in the "netlogon" folder, so that the computer credentials can access it easily? I don't believe it uses user credentials. I don't think "Everyone" includes the computer accounts, nor anonymous accounts.

I don't believe it uses user credentials No, it's external hidden share, but "Everyone" has the read and execute permission. Read these next
